The Purpose and Legal Basis of Personal Data Processing
The purposes for which we process your personal data can be divided into the following groups:
• Setting up a profile in Babysitting.today app
• Creating a babysitting request and confirming a particular sitter who reacts positively to the request created by the parent
Your personal details are processed only for those purposes that possess a legal basis of the processing operation for which the data are intended.
Given our position of a service connecting parents with babysitters and regarding the related purposes for which we use your personal data, these legal bases for the processing of personal data are considered as adequate:
• Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject (such as retention of invoices and accounting documents)
• Processing is necessary for the protection of users and of our interests entitled to protection
It is in our company’s legitimate interest to exercise direct marketing on our users. Every such e-mail contains an option to unsubscribe from receiving such e-mails.

Your personal data is being shared with these subjects:
Ackee s.r.o. – supplier of IT services, carries out app development and operates servers
Accountant, processing of payments for babysitting
Google (server, Google Play)
Amazon (Amazon – database)
Intercom (tools for Support)
Apple Inc. (App Store)
Data Storage and Retention Period
Personal data related to the conclusion of an agreement (the agreement is established when a user agrees to the Terms & Conditions upon registering with the Babysitting.today app), its implementation, and the subsequent customer care are being processed for the duration of the agreement. Babysitting.today is also required to abide by the general binding rules regarding the data retention period, and furthermore retains data for such a period, as is strictly necessary, in case evidence may have to be submitted for administrative or judicial proceedings. This only applies for the duration of a relevant and applicable statutory limitation period, which in most cases is of five years.
In accordance with the principle of data minimalization, we only process personal data that are absolutely necessary for the particular purpose and retain them for only as long as it is strictly necessary. Personal data shall automatically be erased or anonymized as the case may be, once the retention period expires.
The Rights of the Data Subject
What are your other rights regarding the protection of personal data?
You have the right to receive confirmation whether the data concerning you is or isn’t being further processed. In case of further processing, you have the right to access this data and information related to you. Upon request and under sound conditions, we will provide you with a copy of what personal data is being processed.
You have the right to have inaccurate data corrected, meaning we are obliged to correct your incorrect or incomplete data without undue delay, if the conditions therefore are met.
You have the right of having the processing of your personal data limited, if the conditions therefore are met.
You have the right of having the personal data which is being shared with the recipient updated, meaning we are obliged to inform data recipients of all changes, erasures or limitations to your personal data, if the conditions therefore are met.
You have the right of not being subject to any decision based solely on automatic processing which includes profiling that has legal effects on your person or relates to you in any other way, unless this processing is permitted under the laws of EU or the Czech Republic.
You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our methods of information processing to the supervisory authority, which in the Czech Republic is held by The Office for Personal Data Protection located in Prague.
The abovementioned rights will belong to you even after the implementation of Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of personal data.
